The Outhouses of America Tour is blessed to have its very own Outhouse Digging specialist as one of its contributors. We received an Email from Charlie recently and here is what he had to say. "Until last week, I didn’t know these photos existed. I’d mentioned to you that my partners Terry Guidroz and his cousin John Gautreaux had moved an outhouse onto the property where we had the bottle shop. The owners who lived behind the shop had no sense of COOL, or any sense of humor, and made them remove it very quickly. It had come from the workers quarters of Southdown Plantation, on the outskirts of Houma [Louisiana?]. Too bad, it would have looked great in my back yard, giving new meaning to the term “yard house”."
Charlie went on to say "This was also somewhat sad. The little boy, Jason, under the sign is Terry’s eldest son. He was killed in a motorcycle accident the evening before he was to graduate from high school."
These pictures are very old and were scanned through a plastic sheet because if he took them out, the stickem wouldn’t hold everything in place afterward. These pictures were taken some years ago but he thought we would get a kick out of seeing them anyway. He was right. They have finally found a resting place in the Outhouses of America Tour!
Being our resident Outhouse Digging expert, Charlie still gets responses and inquiries through our web site. He got three already the week he sent these pictures.

What else can you see in the images shown? Many times a photo is worth a thousand words and I've only elaborated with a few so why don't you add some "color commentary" to my collection. If your addition is worthy, you will find the quote added on the Comments to the Curator page.
