We took a little business trip to Ohio and right after we got off the Ohio turnpike at Exit 118 on US-250, we spotted this little gem of an Outhouse. It was on the West side of the road and the Outhouse was located on the South side of the house about 20 steps from the back porch. I didn't see anyone in the house so I walked around and took the pictures of the front and back. The door was blocked with some bricks that you can see at the bottom of the front view.
When I walked around to the back, there was a small window. Looking up, I saw a massive hornet's nest. See the picture above. There must have been another nest inside the Outhouse because I noticed more bees flying in and out of the roof area. I don't think this Outhouse is being used any longer. It was not in the best shape.
Going further South down US-250 we came across the next Outhouse in front of a restaurant in Norwalk, Ohio. We stopped and too the two pictures above. The door had a hook to keep it closed so I opened the door to see what was inside. There was a wooden seat but no holes cut out. It was more for show than anything else. There were lots of other Outhouses that we spotted while driving South on US-250 but we didn't have time to stop at all of them. Maybe next time, we will take more pictures!

What else can you see in the images shown? Many times a photo is worth a thousand words and I've only elaborated with a few so why don't you add some "color commentary" to my collection. If your addition is worthy, you will find the quote added on the Comments to the Curator page.
