A Kentucky Outhouse

An Outhouse in Kentucky
This Outhouse is located in Crittenden County, Kentucky
The photographer, Tom Bynum, who took the picture tells me it was on the Ohio River at the Old Ford's Ferry crossing in Crittenden County, Kentucky. A simple hole in the door and the standard wooden latch is about all you can see on this outhouse. There may be a window on the right side. It does have the classic slanted roof which is the way I would do the roof. No need to get fancy; just build the front so it's tall enough for the tallest person and then slant it down in the back. This also allows you to have an overhang out front for those rainy days.
What else can you see in the images shown? Many times a photo is worth a thousand words and I've only elaborated with a few so here is your chance to add some "color commentary" to my collection. If your addition is worthy, you will find the quote added on the Comments to the Curator page. You can use Email to respond.
