We went to a wedding near Traverse City, Michigan in September of 2012. On the way back home, we visited the Point Betsie Light Station (lighthouse) south of Traverse City, Michigan. It is a great looking lighthouse as you can see. It was a beautiful, warm day but very windy.
While there, we saw that they had a pair of Porta John outhouses so I took the pictures shown above. On the way back to the car, there was a great Michigan bumper sticker that is shown above as well.
We Brake for Outhouses! Traveling further southeast from Traverse City, we saw this old outhouse on a corner. I slammed on the brakes and did a U-Turn to take a look at it. It was sitting in a field with no buildings around it so I was thinking it was just an old shed. Wrong! I couldn't get the door open but there was an opening at the top so I stuck my camera in and snapped a picture. I took a look at the picture and Shazammm! It was a real outhouse! It is a real classic, wouldn't you say?

What else can you see in the images shown? Many times a photo is worth a thousand words and I've only elaborated with a few so why don't you add some "color commentary" to my collection. If your addition is worthy, you will find the quote added on the Comments to the Curator page. For additional comments, begin on this page and click the links to see all the years...
