| For Christmas this year, my sister again came up with a couple of choice items to try and out-do herself over previous years. This year, one of the items was a book called Rural Landmarks. |
| I don't know how she finds them but she has managed to find a rare book indeed. This book is copyright 1945 and published by THE HIGHLIGHTS COMPANY. It is chock full of outhouse related cartoons and lots of letters to the Aristocrat Privy company. The letters are a class act and super funny. Some of the cartoons are politically incorrect in today's environment but still funny. If I get a lot of comments on this, maybe I'll show you a couple of the cartoons in this web page. I don't think the book is in print at this time. After all, it was 53 years ago when it was published! |
